“The View from Whaler Bay” references idyllic Galiano Island and the view from “The Paradise Care Home”- Kit and Peter’s cottage retreat. The sublime and almost hypnotic beauty was shattered by the tragedy of the sinking of the Cap Rouge – a fish boat that moored at Whaler Bay. These images show the view before and after the tragedy, and also include photo collage and woven images. The view is forever changed.
