Diplomas > General Physical Education Diploma Programs
The Physical Education specialization is designed for elementary teachers who wish to extend their knowledge of curriculum and instructional aspects of kindergarten, primary, and/or intermediate level physical education. This program will benefit teachers who are developing their own class curricula and teachers wishing to become resource persons for physical education at a school or district level.

Core Courses

Physical Education Teacher Education 400; Human Kinetics 366 (6 credits)

Elective Courses
Education 306; Human Kinetics 310 or 320, 343, 361, 362, 368, 369, 392; Physical Teacher Education 380 (15 credits)
Approved courses in the Faculties of Arts, Education and/or Science (6 credits)

Outdoor Environmental Education Diploma
This program is designed for teachers who wish to use the natural outdoor environment for integrated learning experiences for students.

Core Courses
PETE 380, 480; SCED 380, 411, 413 (15 credits)

Elective Courses 
Approved courses in the Faculties of Education, Arts, Science, Forestry and School of Architecture (15 credits)

Health Education Diploma
Thie Health Education program is designed for educators currently working in health education programs in school and non-school settings. Applicants should have at least two years work experience and may choose a program emphasis on education in either school or non-school settings.

Core Courses:
EDCP 306, 307, 308, CNPS 433 (12 credits)

Additional Core Courses for non-school setting emphasis:
ADHE 327, 329 (6 credits)

Additional Core Courses forschool settings:
CNPS 362, 426 (9 credits)

Elective Courses 
Approved senior courses in the Faculties of Education, Arts or Science (9-12 credits)
